The story behind it.
Swim Legion is an app for people who go to the pool with a goal, not just to check a box: from a beginner who is still learning to control their breathing to an athlete preparing for races. The task was to bring together what usually gets scattered across notebooks, chat screenshots, and phone notes: a training plan, the workouts themselves, a timer, and stats. So someone can open the app at the poolside, see in a couple of taps what they are swimming today, and after the swim see how it fits into their progress.
We designed the interface around the real training scenario: short sessions, large controls, minimal data entry. A personal plan is built weeks ahead with a gradual increase in distance and adapts to the user's level and schedule. Along with the ready-made program, there is a library of workouts for different goals and a builder for custom workouts, a swim log with notes, and favorites where favorite sets are one tap away. For premium users, we added AI-generated monthly plans that take current load and training history into account.
We built the frontend on Vue and Quasar: a single codebase for mobile and desktop, fast responses, and polished timer animation. The backend runs on Laravel with MySQL, with data exchanged via AJAX so records and charts load without page reloads. Progress is shown clearly: distances, goals, and dynamics by week and month.
The result is a product that covers the full cycle, from planning to reviewing results, and does not get in the way of the main thing: the person came to the pool to swim, not to figure out an app.
