01 About the project

The story behind it.

Tribes asked for something the Bitcoin blockchain doesn't naturally give you: a world that feels alive on top of an NFT collection. We built the minting portal, the game back end, and the browser interface that tie Ordinals inscriptions to characters a player can talk to.

The on-chain side runs against a full Bitcoin node hosted on a VPS, with a set of scripts built around the ORD library to keep minting, sending, and indexing stable. The portal handles minting, managing, and transferring NFTs, and a Laravel 8 back end covers the portal and admin panel. The game world is an autonomous village: daily random events move the tribes across the map, and the AI that runs the village responds to what happened the day before.

Every character is a chat partner. We connected the OpenAI API and tuned each prompt to imitate a member of a fictional fantasy tribe, down to how that tribe sees the world and what it cares about. Interfaces for the promo site, the client portal, and the browser game share one visual language, and transaction speed and player security shaped the engineering throughout.
