The story behind it.
Freight customers rarely want to call a help desk; they want to know where their cargo is and when it will clear. Tasman Freight needed a tracking layer that worked as well in a warehouse aisle as it did at a desk. The work covered the customer app and the admin panel behind it.
Every shipment in one list. Active parcels and cargoes open into order details with documents, paperwork and a milestone history. A QR scan pulls up a consignment in seconds, which matters when a driver is holding a phone in one hand and a pallet note in the other. Search goes past the tracking number: shippers filter by route, carrier, date window or status, then follow the load on Google Maps as it moves.
Push notifications cover the moments that generate calls — a missed delivery, a customs hold, an address that needs confirming. On the admin side, the freight team can correct a record, attach documents and reissue an alert without disturbing the customer's view. Phones and tablets each got their own layout pass, and the complete screen set was handed over in 2020.
