CBG — Staff Meeting Platform
A staff app for a New Zealand company that brings meeting scheduling, group chat, shared content and push updates into one calendar.
Case study
2018
The story behind it.
Meetings between staff and customers were being arranged across email threads, calendars and phone calls. CBG asked for a single app where the meeting itself becomes the organizing unit: who is attending, when it starts and what has been shared with them.
One calendar, several kinds of user. Staff create meetings in a shared calendar and invite the relevant people, with permissions that differ by role. Conversations move into direct messages or group chats, and the app serves articles and video to whoever needs them before a session.
Push notifications keep the schedule honest when something moves. We built the mobile app in Ionic 3 and Angular 5 on TypeScript, added a REST API on PHP 7, and shipped an admin panel for the people who manage users and content.
