01 About the project

The story behind it.

Travelers who work and train across Southeast Asia need cover that starts when they do, not a policy that arrives by email days later. Bulletproof sells travel and sports insurance by monthly subscription, and the app is where a customer picks a plan, pays and manages the policy afterward.

Signup takes a phone number for verification or a Facebook account, and the profile holds the personal and financial details an insurer needs, with photos uploaded straight from the phone. Plans sit side by side, so switching coverage is a decision made on one screen. Card details go to Stripe and stay there; when a subscription renews, the customer never re-enters them.

Support runs through Agile Live Chat inside the app, and push notifications carry plan changes and policy news. The product was built with Angular 4 and Ionic 3 in TypeScript, talking to a REST API and the Agile CRM and Google Maps APIs, then released for both Android and iOS.
